About Bugalugs
Grooming and health products for dogs and cats cover shampoo, supplements, dental care and wipes, aimed at owners who buy little and often through supermarkets, pet shops and independent retailers rather than specialist vets. The range sits at the everyday end of pet care, sold alongside food and toys rather than as a niche health line.
The shampoo range includes 3-in-1 Raspberry & Lemon, Aloe & Kiwi, Mango & Banana and Best in Breed formulas, alongside a Baby Fresh no-rinse paw cleaner and fragrance-free glove wipes for full body, bum and paws. Supplements run to chews for itch and immunity, anal gland support, pre and probiotic balance and a 21-in-1 multifunctional formula, plus Scottish salmon oil and organic hemp oil. Dental care spans a 100% natural plaque remover, dental sticks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and there are lick mats, bowls and gift sets alongside a men's grooming line and artificial grass cleaner.
Bugalugs is manufactured in a GMP-certified factory on the edge of the Lake District and forms part of the Lakeland Cosmetics group. It began with the family's own dog, also named Bugalugs, and now sells through its own website, Amazon and stockists including Pets at Home, Asda, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Boots, alongside a trade programme for grooming professionals through its Groomers Club.

Questions about Bugalugs
What is in the Bugalugs Itch & Immunity Supplement Chews for dogs?
These are chewable supplements aimed at reducing scratching and licking by addressing underlying causes rather than just symptoms, according to customer feedback highlighted on the site. They are one of the brand's best-selling supplement lines.
Does the Bugalugs Plaque Remover work for both dogs and cats?
The 100% Natural Plaque Remover is formulated for use on both dogs and cats and is sold in a 200g tub. It is one of the brand's best sellers, with customers reporting visibly cleaner teeth after repeat use.
What does the Bugalugs Scottish Salmon Oil do for pets?
The Scottish Salmon Oil is a supplement oil designed for both dogs and cats, sold as a best-selling addition to the pet's diet. Bugalugs does not detail specific dosage instructions on this page.
Are the Bugalugs pet wipes fragrance-free and suitable for full body use?
Bugalugs sells fragrance-free glove pet wipes designed for cleaning the full body, bottom and paws, sold in packs of 30. A larger 110-wipe pack is also available for regular use.
What is included in the Bugalugs 21 in 1 Multifunctional Supplement Chews?
This is a newer supplement chew line for dogs described as multifunctional, sold alongside the brand's other chew ranges such as Anal Gland and Pre & Probiotic chews. Exact ingredient breakdowns are not given on this page.
How long does Bugalugs delivery take?
Standard UK orders typically arrive within 2-4 days, with next working day delivery available on qualifying orders. Residents of certain offshore regions such as the Channel Islands and Scottish Highlands may see an extra 2 days added under the '2 Day Offshore' service.
What is the Bugalugs returns policy and who pays for postage?
You have 28 days from delivery to return an item for a full refund, though the customer must email to notify their intention within 14 days of receipt and then send the goods back within a further 14 days. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods, and items must be unused and in original packaging.
Can I cancel or change my Bugalugs order after placing it?
Once an order is placed it generally cannot be cancelled due to the inventory and processing system, though a refund may sometimes be arranged, possibly with associated costs. Address changes are only possible if requested before the order has shipped, and are not guaranteed even then.
Does Bugalugs ship outside the UK?
Bugalugs does not currently offer international delivery through its own website, though it delivers to the Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Ireland with longer delivery times. Products are available more widely through Amazon and international stockists.
What happens if my Bugalugs item arrives faulty or damaged?
Customers with a faulty product should contact customer service with order details and photos of the fault. Where the rejection is due to a defect, a full refund is due within 14 days of delivery, including a refund of the original delivery charge.

- Beaphar Similar own-brand pricing and Aloe vera based shampoo range, but leans more into flea, worming and small-animal care than dental or supplement chews.
- Johnson's Veterinary Products Longer-established British brand with a stronger medicated and flea-treatment shampoo line, at the cost of a less colourful, less spa-style scent range.
- Animology Favoured by independent groomers for its wider scent range and professional dilution ratios, though it is harder to find in supermarkets.
- Pet Head Similar natural-oil grooming formulas and playful scents, sold through the same pet shop shelves but with less emphasis on dental or supplement products.
- TropiClean Wider international range of deshedding and deodorising formulas, at a slightly higher price than everyday supermarket lines.
