The GS walking sock is knitted from a merino wool blend custom-spun by Genevieve Sweeney herself, combining shades such as bright red, burgundy and midnight blue into a single marl. A double-density sole adds cushioning underfoot, while ribbed detailing around the leg gives extra stability and support during movement.

Merino's natural properties do the practical work here: the fibre insulates in winter and stays breathable enough for summer walking, unlike a plain cotton sock. Made in Derbyshire at a family-run mill the brand has worked with for years, it is built for rambling, trekking and the daily dog walk.
