A cost-shared helicopter tour from Denham Aerodrome tracing the Thames past Canary Wharf, the Shard and the Houses of Parliament.
Details checked on 7th September 2026
This is a sightseeing flight departing Denham Aerodrome and returning to the same airfield, flown in a Robinson R66 helicopter with room for up to four passengers. The route runs east over the Olympic Village and the O2, joins the Thames at the Isle of Dogs, passes Canary Wharf, the Shard, the Gherkin, the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament and London Bridge, then continues past Fulham football stadium and Richmond Park before crossing Heathrow, subject to air traffic control approval, on the way back. Flying time runs to around 55 minutes, with the total experience close to an hour once briefings are included.
The flight is arranged through a private pilot who shares the costs of the trip rather than operating it commercially, and is flown under Visual Flight Rules, so it depends on clear weather and may be postponed. Passengers are covered by Allianz insurance up to a million euros and are free to bring a camera on board to capture the skyline as it passes beneath the helicopter.
