White Mulberry Silk Pillowcase

This pillowcase is made from 19 momme Grade A mulberry silk, a weight that gives it a smooth, dense surface. Lower-grade silk, by comparison, tends to feel thinner and more slippery. It is generously cut to fit both standard and queen pillows and is machine washable on a cool, delicate cycle, ideally in a mesh bag, then air dried away from direct sunlight.

The silk's low friction surface is the practical reason to choose it over cotton: hair glides across it instead of catching, which cuts down on frizz and the creases a coarser weave can press into skin overnight. The white colourway is made to sit alongside Laud's White Lazy Linen bedding for a plain, breathable bed.
