Maiden Cricket
Cricket kit designed for women and girls, not adapted from men's
Last updated on 15th September 2026
About Maiden Cricket
Cricket clothing and equipment designed specifically for female bodies, rather than resized from men's kit, covering girls from around age eight through to adult women. Buyers include club and school players, county cricketers and the teams that supply them.
The clothing side runs to tops, shorts, trousers, hoodies and caps, including the Mid-On short-sleeved top, Nightwatch training trousers, Fine Leg shorts and the Century quarter-zip midlayer, built in stretch fabrics with adjustable hems. Equipment covers batting gloves and batting pads in girls' and women's fits, sized specifically for smaller frames rather than scaled down from adult men's models, plus a kit bag and accessories such as the Bouncer headband and belt bag. Maiden Teamwear extends the same patterns into customisable club, school and county kit, produced in club colours for full squads.
The brand was founded by two sisters, Honor and Cat, who began designing their own cricket kit as teenagers in 2024 after years of playing in ill-fitting men's and unisex gear. It sells direct through its own website, shipping to the UK and Channel Islands, and in 2026 launched Maiden Cricket U.S. as founding apparel and equipment partner to the Seattle Orcas Women's T20 Exhibition.

Questions about Maiden Cricket
Are the Maiden Cricket batting pads lighter than standard pads?
Customer reviews describe the batting pads as lighter and less bulky around the legs compared to other pads, without any loss of protection or quality. They are designed specifically to suit how women and girls move rather than being adapted men's equipment.
How does Maiden Cricket teamwear customisation work for clubs?
Maiden Teamwear offers fully customisable kit for whole squads, including clubs, schools, universities and county teams, rather than just individual players. It followed the signature clothing and equipment ranges after demand grew from teams wanting kit in their own colours.
What sizes does the Maiden Cricket kit bag come in?
The Women's and Girls' Maiden Cricket Kit Bag is designed to be lightweight for easy carrying and includes several separate components to keep gear organised and accessible. It is sold as one product across the women's and girls' ranges.
Do Maiden Cricket clothes come with adjustable or stretch features?
The signature clothing range includes adjustable hems and stretch fabrics designed to move with the wearer, along with built-in protection features. These details were designed specifically for girls before being extended into an adult range.
How long does Maiden Cricket delivery take?
Delivery is free on orders over £100, and Maiden Cricket currently ships only within the UK and Channel Islands, with international shipping described as coming soon. No specific delivery timescale is given beyond this.
How do I return a Maiden Cricket order?
Non-personalised items from the signature and equipment range can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unworn, unwashed, in original condition with tags and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Returns must first be requested and accepted through the returns portal, and postage is paid by the customer unless the item is faulty.
Can I return a personalised Maiden Cricket teamwear order?
Personalised or bespoke items, such as those bearing a club crest, name or squad number, cannot be cancelled or returned for change of mind once production has begun. This applies regardless of whether the items have already been dispatched.
What happens if my Maiden Cricket item arrives faulty?
Faults must be reported within 30 days of receiving the order via the returns portal, including the order number, a description of the fault and photographs. Maiden Cricket's first remedy is to repair or replace the item, and they aim to respond within five working days with a proposed remedy.
How long do Maiden Cricket refunds take once agreed?
Where a refund is agreed, it is processed back to the original payment method within five to ten working days of Maiden Cricket receiving and inspecting the returned goods. Refunds cover only the specific items agreed rather than the whole order, unless the entire order is confirmed faulty or misdescribed.
