About Rotary Watches
Automatic and quartz watches for men and women make up the core of the range, sold direct online and through authorised retailers, both physical and online, across the UK and beyond. Buyers tend to be looking for classic dress and dive styles rather than sports chronographs, though both are on offer.
The collection runs from the Seamatic 300 GMT and Seamatic Eclipse automatics through to slimmer dress pieces such as the 1895 and Ultra Slim Diamond, with the Heritage and Heritage Astoria lines sitting between the two. Cases and bracelets are made in stainless steel, with Seamatic models using 316L and the rest of the range in 304L, and leather straps sourced from bovine hide. Water resistance is marked individually on each model, from 30 metres up to higher dive ratings, and metal bracelets can be resized by removing or adding links.
Founded in Switzerland in 1895 by the watchmaker Moise Dreyfuss, Rotary relocated its headquarters to London in the early twentieth century and has kept its design studio there since, sourcing movements and materials globally while working from initial sketches through to CAD rendering. Watches are sold direct from its own site and through a network of authorised stockists in over 65 countries.

Questions about Rotary Watches
Are Rotary watches water-resistant enough to swim in?
Water resistance varies by model, so it's worth checking the specific rating on your watch. Rotary recommends at least 50 metres of resistance for swimming, that the crown is screwed down or shut, and that leather straps be kept away from water.
What material are Rotary watch straps and cases made from?
Rotary's leather straps are genuine leather from bovine sources, while case materials vary by range: Seamatic watches typically use 316L stainless steel and the rest of the collection uses 304L stainless steel.
Can I get my Rotary bracelet resized to fit my wrist?
Yes, metal bracelets can have links added or removed to fit your wrist, either as a complimentary adjustment by a professional watchmaker at the time of ordering or through the servicing team afterwards.
How often should an automatic Rotary watch be serviced?
Mechanical watches, including automatics, are recommended to be serviced every three to five years to keep them running accurately and reliably. Servicing can be carried out at Rotary's own service centre or by a professional watchmaker.
Can the battery in a Rotary quartz watch be replaced?
Yes, batteries in quartz watches can be replaced when needed, but Rotary recommends this is done by their service department or a professional watchmaker. Attempting it yourself risks damaging the watch and voiding the warranty.
How long does UK delivery take for Rotary Watches?
UK orders are sent using free 48-hour tracked delivery, and you'll receive tracking details from Royal Mail once dispatched. International orders vary depending on destination.
How do I return a Rotary Watches watch and who pays postage?
You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return, provided it is in pristine condition with tags, packaging and proof of purchase. If your return is accepted, Rotary provides pre-paid return postage.
Can I exchange my Rotary Watches watch for a different model?
Rotary doesn't currently offer direct exchanges. Instead, you return the item you have and, once that return is accepted, place a separate order for the watch you want.
What does the Rotary watch warranty cover?
Rotary watches come with a two-year international warranty covering manufacturing defects and faults in materials or workmanship, though not normal wear and tear, accidental damage or unauthorised alterations. Registering your watch within three months of purchase extends this by a further 12 months.
What happens if my Rotary Watches watch arrives damaged or wrong?
You should inspect your order on arrival and contact Rotary immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, and they will correct the issue. Refunds for approved returns are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
