About Snugburys Ice Cream

Ice cream and sorbet made on a Cheshire dairy farm, sold by the tub at the farm shop and by the scoop to visitors who come for the day out as much as the flavour. Gift vouchers cover anyone buying for someone else.

The flavour list runs long: Original Vanilla, Cookie Dough and Sea Salt Caramel sit alongside Turkish Delight, Snugtella and Death by Chocolate, with Chocolate Brownie made using handcrafted brownies and Banana Caramel from bananas roasted in-house with brown sugar. Sorbets come in Raspberry, Lemon, Mango and Chocolate Orange. Some flavours are seasonal: Damson & Sloe Gin and Christmas Pudding for winter, Lavender & Honey and Coconut for summer. Ice cream is sold in Napoli 5-litre containers to wholesale customers as well as in retail tubs.

Snugburys started in 1986 when Chris and Cheryl began making ice cream in the kitchen of their Cheshire farmhouse, using an old Kenwood Chef, before converting a barn to sell from. It is still family-run, now by their daughters Hannah, Kitty and Cleo, with production based at the same site in Nantwich. The Napoli containers are washed and sterilised for reuse rather than replaced, and the production dairy runs on power from close to 350 solar panels.
