Celotex PL4000 Insulated Plasterboard

Celotex PL4000 combines a rigid polyisocyanurate insulation core with a plasterboard facing bonded directly to it, so the board provides both thermal insulation and a finished surface in a single fix. It measures 2.4m by 1.2m with a coverage of 2.88m2 per board, has a tapered edge for a neat, professional joint, and comes in thicknesses from 37.5mm up to 72.5mm. Thermal conductivity is rated at 0.022 W/mK, and the board can be fitted using either a dot-and-dab direct bond or mechanical fixing.

It suits solid masonry walls, timber frame lining, and the underside of rafters or joists on pitched and flat roofs, cutting out the separate step of dry lining over insulation. The blowing agents used have zero ozone depletion potential and low global warming potential. It is aimed at both new build and refurbishment work where reducing on-site labour and meeting current thermal regulations matter as much as the finished wall surface.
