Kingspan Kooltherm K118 Insulated Plasterboard

Kingspan Kooltherm K118 pairs a fibre-free rigid thermoset phenolic core with plasterboard bonded directly to its front face, giving a thermal conductivity of 0.019 W/mK across all thicknesses. The reverse side carries a low emissivity composite foil that boosts thermal resistance and supports quick response heating. Boards run 2400mm by 1200mm and are sold by the pallet, with thicknesses from 37.5mm up to 72.5mm depending on the variant, each fixed with drywall screws and supported at the edges with noggins.

Because the insulation and the plasterboard finish arrive as one board, it cuts out a separate lining stage when treating solid walls, under rafters or around beam frames. It is not intended for high-moisture rooms such as bathrooms, where a moisture-resistant board is the better choice, and sheets need flat, level, indoor storage or a weatherproof tarpaulin if kept outside temporarily.
