About Wild & Free
Waterproof coats and outdoor accessories for women, designed around the school run, dog walks and sports sidelines rather than the hills. The core product, the Cobe, is worn by mothers and outdoor-minded women across the UK and Ireland who want one coat rather than three.
The range centres on the Cobe, a sherpa-lined waterproof coat rated to 10,000mm, sold in Classic and Black Edition lines across colours including olive green, camel, black and French navy, in sizes XS to Large. A Kids Cobe follows the same design in smaller sizes for roughly ages four to twelve. Alongside the coats sit a rolled-top Backpack with a laptop compartment, available in Barbour Green, Midnight Navy, Black and Natural Stone, a Luxury Towel Robe in Small/Medium and Medium/Large, and a fisherman-style Beanie made from organic cotton with a wide rib.
Wild & Free was founded by Aisling, who designed the Cobe with her husband Robbie after failing to find a coat that worked for school gates, sidelines and dog walks in one garment. The brand is designed in Ireland, with coats made from recycled materials and seams sealed for genuine wet-weather use rather than light showers.

Questions about Wild & Free
Is the Wild & Free Cobe actually waterproof?
The Cobe has a 10,000mm hydrostatic head rating with sealed seams, meaning it withstands sustained heavy rain rather than just light showers, unlike most high street waterproofs rated at 2,000-4,000mm. It is also fully sherpa-lined from hem to hood for warmth.
How does the Wild & Free Cobe differ from a Dryrobe?
The Cobe has a coat silhouette with a structured hood and hand-warmer pockets, designed to be worn all day rather than just for post-swim changing. A Dryrobe suits dedicated swim changing, whereas the Cobe covers everyday wear as well as occasional use after a swim.
How do I choose my Wild & Free Cobe size?
Sizing is based on height first and then dress size, which differs from most brands, so it is worth checking the Size & Fit tab and measuring a favourite coat for comparison. Buyers between sizes are advised to size down for a neater fit or up for layering room.
Will the Wild & Free Cobe keep me warm without a jumper?
The sherpa lining is a full lining rather than a thin decorative layer, and most customers find it comfortable over just a light long-sleeve top from October to March. Those who feel the cold or plan long stints outdoors are advised to add a midlayer.
Is the Wild & Free Cobe good for dog walking?
It was designed for exactly that: the 10,000mm waterproof rating copes with sustained rain, the sherpa lining keeps warmth in when stationary, and six pockets hold a phone, keys and poo bags. It can be wiped down or machine washed on a cool cycle afterwards.
How long does Wild & Free delivery take?
UK and Ireland orders arrive within a couple of working days via tracked Royal Mail, with free delivery on orders over £100/€100. European orders take 5-10 working days and Wild & Free currently does not ship to the US due to tariffs.
How do I return or exchange a Wild & Free order?
Items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery provided they are unworn with tags intact, starting the process via the returns portal. Once registered, customers have a further 14 days to send the item back, and the buyer covers return postage.
Who pays postage on a Wild & Free exchange?
Wild & Free pays for the delivery of the first replacement item sent out, but the customer covers the cost of returning the original item. If an item is exchanged more than once, the customer pays delivery costs for further exchanges.
What does the Wild & Free product guarantee cover?
The Cobe comes with a 1 Year Product Guarantee covering serious manufacturing defects affecting the coat's function, starting from the date of purchase. Normal wear and tear, failure to follow care instructions or accidental damage are excluded, and proof of purchase is required.
Can I return part of a Wild & Free bundle?
A bundle is priced as a complete item, so returning only part of it means the bundle discount no longer applies and the refund is recalculated accordingly.
